Unified tier structure for Grok and X

SpaceXAI, the artificial intelligence division of Elon Musk's aerospace firm SpaceX, is preparing a consolidated subscription model that combines its Grok chatbot with the social platform X, formerly known as Twitter. According to internal corporate documents reported by Edward Ludlow on Wednesday, the company plans to introduce four unified pricing tiers ranging from free access up to $100 per month. Under the draft plan, the free tier will retain access to the Grok chatbot but will enforce stricter usage limitations. A newly structured $8 per month lite subscription will include Grok access, a verified account checkmark, and a reduced frequency of advertisements across the X platform. At the high end of the pricing structure, a $100 per month Ultra tier is designed for advanced power users. This top-tier package incorporates Grok Bot, an autonomous artificial intelligence agent that SpaceXAI initially launched in August. Internal documentation viewed by reporters did not provide specific pricing or feature parameters for the fourth planned tier.

Competitive pricing across AI developers

The planned subscription overhaul arrives as rival artificial intelligence developers implement substantial revisions to their own retail and enterprise pricing structures. OpenAI halved the usage allowances on its $200 per month Pro subscription plan during the final week of September while establishing an upper-tier $500 monthly ChatGPT plan. Simultaneously, Meta rolled out its Meta One subscription packages across global markets in September, establishing a broad fee spectrum that ranges from $2.99 to $499 per month. SpaceXAI is actively competing against both OpenAI and Anthropic to capture enterprise accounts and expand commercial recurring revenue. Although the proposed four-tier structure remains under active internal evaluation, SpaceXAI intends to launch the combined subscriptions in the near term.

Enterprise expansion into the legal sector

In addition to consumer-facing subscription tiers, artificial intelligence developers are directing engineering resources toward specialized enterprise verticals, most notably legal services. Three of the industry's four leading artificial intelligence laboratories have launched or marketed dedicated software tools tailored specifically for legal practitioners this year. Google launched a preview release of Gemini Enterprise for Legal in late August in collaboration with four of the world's largest law firms. Anthropic preceded Google's release by three months, deploying a specialized product now designated as Claude Legal Solutions. SpaceXAI also established a dedicated legal solutions portal on its official website, positioning its models to compete directly for institutional legal clients.

Hallucinated filings and tribunal penalties

The accelerated deployment of specialized legal tools coincides with ongoing disciplinary actions against attorneys who submit artificial intelligence outputs containing fictitious legal citations. In June, the Ontario Law Society Tribunal ordered Canadian attorney Shahryar Mazaheri to pay tens of thousands of dollars in penalties after submitting court filings drafted with Grok that contained fabricated legal precedents. Judicial records cataloged by legal researcher Damien Charlotin show nearly 2,000 court proceedings worldwide that feature fictitious authorities generated by artificial intelligence tools. Charlotin's tracking database documents that these flawed submissions involve more than 800 practicing lawyers and 1,100 self-represented litigants who relied on automated models in formal court filings.
