The first arrest in June
Investigators detained a Georgian citizen, Elnur A., on 18 June. The following day a prosecutor charged him with the murder of Robert K., alleging that he fired five shots from a firearm. He was placed in temporary custody, which was later extended to 15 December 2026. Earlier reporting noted that a man carrying a Georgian passport had been detained in the case before the second arrest.
The second suspect and the charges
On 19 October, ABW officers from the Lublin branch detained Makhmud A., a 22-year-old Georgian, in a car park beside the A2 motorway. Prosecutors have charged him with aiding the murder, an act they say he carried out between 1 and 11 June 2026, before the shooting. He also faces a charge of illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition. He has not admitted guilt, and a court ordered him held in custody for three months. RMF FM, citing unofficial information, reported that he scouted the victim's home and passed details of the victim's habits to the shooter, a claim officials have not confirmed. RMF FM also reported that two other Georgians who travelled with him were handed to border guards and face ten-year entry bans.

Tomasz Siemoniak, the minister coordinating special services, announced the arrest in a social media post on Thursday, 22 October. He said the investigation is developing.
