Sangiovanni announces return album Tutto bene grazie for 13 November release
Italian singer-songwriter Sangiovanni has announced his new studio album, Tutto bene grazie, ending a two-and-a-half-year break from the music industry.
New album announcement and themes
Italian singer-songwriter Sangiovanni announced on 30 September 2026 that his upcoming studio album, titled Tutto bene grazie, will be released on 13 November through the Sugar Music record label. The album represents his first full-length project following a two-and-a-half-year hiatus from the recording industry. Co-written with Alessandro La Cava and produced by Pietro Posani and Celo, the record centers on personal growth, self-examination, and the emotional transitions experienced during his extended break. The title translates to 'All good, thank you', turning an automatic daily courtesy into a deliberate statement about starting over with honesty. Rather than delivering definitive conclusions, the tracklist explores contradictory feelings, including the fear of making life choices, the pressure of feeling behind schedule, isolation, and the value of personal relationships.
Now I can say that everything is fine, thanks. Not because life is perfect, but because even if it isn't, I still really want to live it. Many times it is said superficially, and for most people that will be enough. For those who want to go deep, however, I wrote a record.
Homage to Lucio Dalla in lead single
The album rollout is led by the single Ti ho cercata (felicità), which was announced during the fourth week of September 2026. The song pays homage to the late Italian musician Lucio Dalla and his track Felicità, which Sangiovanni credited as a guiding emotional influence during his period of isolation. The music video for the track was filmed with close friends under the porticoes of Bologna, with the artist describing the release as the first brick and chapter of his new era. Sangiovanni shared preview images of the Bologna video shoot with friends, thanking listeners for their patience during his extended absence.
His music was close to me and this song in particular helped me to understand and describe my emotions better. Starting like this is a way to say thank you to him.
The 2024 Sanremo crisis and hiatus
Sangiovanni entered an indefinite pause in February 2024 following his appearance at the Sanremo Music Festival, where he finished penultimate with the song Finiscimi. The singer subsequently canceled his planned headline concert at the Forum di Assago in Milan and put his planned album release on hold, stating on Instagram that he could no longer pretend that everything was normal or that he felt happy under promotional demands. His decision joined similar career pauses taken by other young Italian artists who gained rapid exposure through television shows like Amici, including Blanco and Angelina Mango. Mango halted her European and Italian tour in October 2024 after winning Sanremo and participating in Eurovision, later returning with her album caramè in October 2025 and a theater tour in February 2026.
- Finishes penultimate at Sanremo with Finiscimi, cancels Assago concert, and begins hiatus
- Shares initial updates with fans a few months after pausing his career
- Returns to the recording studio one year after beginning his hiatus
- Announces return album Tutto bene grazie following lead single release
- Scheduled release date for Tutto bene grazie under Sugar Music
Return to the studio and release schedule
After stepping away from live performances, Sangiovanni provided intermittent updates to his listeners, returning to recording studios one year into his break. Prior to making the formal announcement on Instagram alongside a picture with his dog, he reconnected directly with his audience during a fan event held in Rome. The release of Tutto bene grazie on 13 November 2026 completes his gradual transition back into professional recording and public performance.
