Red Bull becomes major partner of FDJ United-Suez women's cycling team ahead of Tour de France Femmes
The energy drink brand announced a long-term partnership with the French women's cycling team on the day of the Tour de France Femmes Grand Départ in Lausanne, marking its first foray into women's professional cycling.
Red Bull has signed a long-term partnership with FDJ United-Suez, becoming a major partner and the official energy drink of the French women's cycling team. The deal was unveiled on 1 August 2026, the day the Tour de France Femmes set off from Lausanne, Switzerland, and represents the brand's first move into women's professional cycling.
A first for women's cycling
Red Bull already has a strong presence in men's cycling, backing the Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe team and individual athletes such as Remco Evenepoel, Wout van Aert and Tom Pidcock. Until now, however, it had never partnered with a women's squad. The agreement with FDJ United-Suez changes that, bringing the energy drink company into the women's peloton for the first time.
This partnership materializes all the structuring and development efforts of the team for which we have worked tirelessly for several years.
Team ambitions
Stephen Delcourt, general manager of FDJ United-Suez, framed the deal as more than a performance-focused sponsorship. He stressed a shared desire to challenge existing models and innovate in how the sport is presented.
What unites FDJ United-Suez and Red Bull goes beyond the mere pursuit of performance. We share this desire to question existing models and assumptions, to innovate and imagine new ways to advance and tell the story of our sport.
Delcourt added that the partnership marks a new stage in the team's development and illustrates its ambition to keep progressing on the road while daring to move the lines off it. The team, founded in 2006, has long expressed a goal of reaching the highest sporting level while evolving how a cycling team communicates and brings the sport to the public.
On the ground at the Tour de France Femmes
The announcement was carefully staged around the Grand Départ. On Saturday morning, two Red Bull vehicles were parked in front of the FDJ United-Suez bus, distributing cans of the drink and building suspense. By midday, the team's riders, including Demi Vollering, appeared with the Red Bull logo on their helmets, a detail that had been absent until that moment.
