PSG Brings Back-to-Back Champions League Trophies to Roland Garros, Stars Look Ahead to World Cup
Two days after securing their second consecutive Champions League title, Paris Saint-Germain stars Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, Bradley Barcola, and Warren Zaïre-Emery presented both trophies to a cheering crowd at the French Open.
A victory lap on clay
Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League celebrations moved from the pitch to the tennis court on Monday, as four of the club's French stars brought their silverware to Roland Garros. Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, Bradley Barcola, and Warren Zaïre-Emery stepped onto the sun-drenched Philippe-Chatrier court to a standing ovation, just two days after defeating Arsenal in a tense final in Budapest.
The presentation occurred shortly after the last Frenchwoman in the draw, Diane Parry, a known PSG supporter, lost her fourth-round match to Poland's Maja Chwalińska 6-3, 6-2. The players' arrival lifted the crowd's spirits, with Doué and Zaïre-Emery first carrying out the 2025 trophy, followed by Dembélé and Barcola with the newly won 2026 cup.
We worked every day throughout the season to win this trophy once again.
A family affair in the stands
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, a former professional tennis player who once faced 1995 French Open champion Thomas Muster on the ATP tour, watched the ceremony from the stands. He was seated alongside the president of the French Tennis Federation, Gilles Moretton. The event also featured a crossover moment with Italian tennis player Flavio Cobolli, a former AS Roma youth footballer who had qualified for the quarterfinals earlier in the day, joining the footballers on court to pose with the trophies.
We're bringing you the second star, we're proud and happy. We want to thank everyone at the club, it's a collective victory.
The road to Budapest
PSG's latest European triumph was secured on Saturday at the Puskas Arena, where they beat Arsenal 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw. This victory followed their dominant 5-0 win over Inter Milan in the 2025 final, making them only the second club in Champions League history, after Real Madrid, to successfully defend the title.
- PSG wins first Champions League title, beating Inter Milan 5-0 in the final.
- PSG beats Arsenal 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in Budapest to win their second consecutive title.
- Players present both trophies to the crowd at Roland Garros during the French Open.
- French internationals join the national team camp at Clairefontaine to begin World Cup preparations.
Eyes on the World Cup
The celebration carried a forward-looking tone, as all four players are set to join the French national team's training camp at Clairefontaine on Tuesday. France is preparing for the 2026 World Cup, which kicks off on June 11 in Mexico, Canada, and the United States. Dembélé acknowledged the shift in focus, telling the crowd they would try for a third European title next season, but first comes the World Cup.
Les Bleus will play warm-up matches against Ivory Coast in Nantes on Thursday and Northern Ireland in Lille next Monday before departing for the tournament, where they are drawn in Group I with Senegal, Iraq, and Norway.
We'll try to win another one next season but before that there is the World Cup with the France team.
A chorus of support
The Philippe-Chatrier crowd fully embraced the moment, chanting the club's anthem "Ici c'est Paris!" and serenading Dembélé with calls of "Ousmane, Ballon d'Or!" in recognition of his status as the world's best player. The event mirrored a similar celebration from the previous year, when Dembélé had appeared alone with the trophy, but this time the collective presence of four homegrown stars underscored the club's historic back-to-back achievement.
