FC Porto will face Aston Villa in 2026/27 season presentation on 25 July
The Portuguese champions will play the Europa League winners at Estádio do Dragão, with the squad formally introduced to fans before kick-off. The friendly is Porto's last test before the Supertaça on 1 August.
Announcement
FC Porto confirmed on Wednesday that their annual presentation match will be against English side Aston Villa on 25 July, at 19:00 local time. The match at Estádio do Dragão will feature the traditional roll-call of players as the squad is unveiled to supporters.
The Dragão reopens its doors on 25 July, a Saturday, to host the FC Porto presentation match. Before kick-off, scheduled for 19:00, the players will be called up one by one for the reunion with the Porto family.
Last season's event was marked by the surprise announcement of striker Luuk de Jong's signing.
Pre-season preparations
The team, led by coach Francesco Farioli, returned to training on 1 July and will hold a camp at St. George's Park, the English FA's training centre in Burton upon Trent, from 13 to 18 July. This breaks two consecutive seasons of pre-season camps in Austria. The last time Porto trained at St. George's Park was in 2014/15 under Julen Lopetegui.
