Woman arrested after bottle attack in Alcalá de Henares park leaves one seriously injured
A 20-year-old woman was arrested Saturday after allegedly attacking her ex-partner and another young woman with a bottle in a park in Alcalá de Henares, leaving a 23-year-old with a serious stab wound.
What happened
Shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, a dispute in Parque de Magallanes in Alcalá de Henares escalated into a physical assault involving a glass bottle. A 20-year-old woman was later detained by National Police on suspicion of attacking her former partner and a 22-year-old woman with the bottle, according to police sources cited by Europa Press.
Injuries and medical response
The first emergency call reached 112 at 9:28 a.m., and a mobile unit from Summa 112 arrived alongside National Police and local officers. Medics treated a 23-year-old woman who had a serious incised wound to the side of her torso; she was stabilised at the scene and transferred to Hospital Ramón y Cajal. A 22-year-old man, who sustained minor injuries, was taken to Hospital de Alcalá de Henares.
Arrest
National Police confirmed the arrest of a 20-year-old woman on Saturday in connection with the attack. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details about the suspect or the relationship between those involved have been released.
