Cristina Pardo says goodbye to LaSexta after 20 years and heads to Antena 3 prime time
After 20 years at Spain’s LaSexta, journalist Cristina Pardo presented her last Más Vale Tarde on Friday, leaving for a new prime-time show on Antena 3.
Cristina Pardo closed a two-decade chapter at LaSexta on 12 June 2026, saying goodbye in a studio filled with tributes, tears and laughter. The Pamplona-born presenter is moving to the main Atresmedia channel Antena 3, where she will lead a new prime-time format next season.
A farewell five years in the making
Her final Más Vale Tarde opened with a video montage spanning her 20-year career, from early reporting in the rain to heated political interviews and the three-season run of Liarla Pardo. Co-host Iñaki López handed her a bouquet and admitted, after five intense years together,

Colleagues, poems and a mallorquin surprise
The studio welcomed an unannounced video message from Rafa Nadal, captured by a reporter at a red-carpet event.
Pardo, a declared fan, joked that she would never top that moment. Writer Benjamín Prado then delivered a poem on set:Hola Cristina, suerte con todo. Te deseo todo lo mejor y un beso.

Two decades in green corridors
News anchor Rodrigo Blázquez, who started at LaSexta alongside Pardo when the channel barely had furniture, interrupted the broadcast to embrace her.
Pardo replied that she had been very happy at the network and hoped to be up to the new challenge. The evening ended with the newsroom’s on-screen caption: “La joya es Cristina.”En 20 años nos hemos enfadado alguna vez, pero lo hemos gozado muchísimo. Yo te voy a echar mucho de menos, Cristina.
From Pamplona to prime time
Pardo joined LaSexta in 2006, became a distinctive voice in political coverage, and anchored Liarla Pardo from 2018 to 2021 before moving to Más Vale Tarde. The career montage prompted her quip about her hairstyles over the years. She now crosses the corridor to Antena 3, leaving behind a channel that, as Blázquez put it, has its own unmistakable personality.
