First half control in Sarajevo
PAOK secured a 75-72 away victory over Bosna in Sarajevo on 6 October 2026, advancing to a 2-0 record in EuroCup group play. The Greek side established an early rhythm in the first quarter, building leads of 13-8 and 18-12 before ending the opening period ahead 22-18. Troy Alexander scored six points and grabbed six rebounds, while Rob Gray and Matt Hudgins provided early scoring to keep the visitors in front. Nick Calathes orchestrated the offense with six first-half assists, connecting with Ben Moore for inside scoring as PAOK pulled ahead 30-24. Bosna responded through Tim Perry, Edin Atic, and Anthony Brown to tie the score at 33-33 with 3:30 left in the second quarter. A late fast break orchestrated by Calathes and finished by Moore restored PAOK's five-point cushion, sending the teams into halftime at 40-35.
Bosna rally and Popovic shoulder injury
Bosna erased the deficit in the third quarter by launching an 11-4 run to capture a 56-51 lead. Christian Pipes sparked the home team's offense, helping Bosna extend their advantage to six points at 59-53. Bosna suffered a significant blow midway through the quarter when starting center Nikola Popovic sustained a shoulder injury following a screen by Cedi Osman. Popovic, who had totaled 10 points and five rebounds, walked off to the locker room and did not return to the game. PAOK head coach Andrea Trinchieri adjusted by deploying a smaller lineup with Naz Mitrou-Long, Breein Tyree, and Osman, cutting Bosna's lead to 61-59 by the end of the third period.
Osman and Tyree decide the endgame
Osman led PAOK in scoring with 17 points, seven rebounds, and three steals, taking charge in the fourth quarter despite shooting 0 of 7 from three-point range. Marcus Foster and Hudgins chipped in with 11 and 10 points respectively, while Tyree added 14 points for the Greek side. PAOK converted 22 of 31 two-point field goals (71%), which offset their 7-of-32 (21.9%) shooting from beyond the arc. Bosna stayed in contention through 22-of-27 shooting from the free-throw line and a 12-point, 12-rebound double-double by Perry. With 13 seconds remaining, Tyree sank two free throws to establish a 75-72 lead. Bosna missed two consecutive three-pointers on their final possession, including an open attempt by Darko Talic following an offensive rebound as time expired.
