The police team deployed following operational tips that goods from earlier property thefts were being held at the address. Upon arrival, the officers began formal procedural checks involving several individuals who were present on the property grounds. While these initial checks were underway, a 33-year-old suspect connected to the theft investigation unexpectedly arrived back at the residence around 11:00. Rather than complying with police directives, the man produced a firearm and initiated a confrontation with the officers.

Gunfire and foot chase

The 33-year-old suspect fired two gunshots directly at one of the officers, hitting the 28-year-old policeman in the head. Other officers on the scene responded by discharging their service weapons in return. Following the gunfire, the shooter attempted to escape the scene on foot, prompting the officers to initiate an immediate chase across the area. The officers caught and detained the suspect shortly after the pursuit began. Police officials confirmed that the 33-year-old man did not sustain any injuries during the exchange of gunfire or the subsequent apprehension.
