Incident at the political stand in Bad Kreuznach

Nine individuals sustained minor injuries in the German town of Bad Kreuznach on Wednesday afternoon after an irritating liquid was poured toward an Alternative for Germany information booth. The right-wing populist political party had set up the public stand in the town centre when the incident occurred. According to the preliminary findings released by the police, the substance was poured from an adjacent building directly in the direction of the party booth. Several people standing in the immediate vicinity were struck by splashes of the falling liquid. Direct contact with the droplets resulted in mild skin irritation for nine individuals. Emergency services were notified shortly after the substance made contact with passers-by and stand personnel. Local authorities confirmed that the incident took place during public daytime campaigning in the Rhineland-Palatinate municipality.

Emergency response and medical evaluation

The incident prompted an immediate large-scale emergency response across the town centre of Bad Kreuznach on Wednesday afternoon. Units from the local police force, the municipal fire brigade, and emergency rescue services deployed to the scene to secure the area and provide medical care to those affected. Emergency personnel assessed all nine people who reported adverse skin reactions after coming into contact with the liquid splashes. Medical workers transferred two of the injured individuals to a nearby hospital as a precautionary measure to undergo further examination. Both hospitalized individuals were evaluated by medical staff and were subsequently discharged later that afternoon. First responders confirmed that no other individuals in the vicinity required hospital admission beyond the two precautionary cases.

Police investigation and suspect identification

Following the deployment of emergency response teams in the town centre, law enforcement authorities initiated a formal criminal investigation into the incident. Police officers examined the adjacent building from which the liquid was poured and gathered physical evidence to determine the exact origin of the substance. Police in Rhineland-Palatinate subsequently confirmed that their investigative measures had successfully identified a suspect in connection with the incident. Authorities have not publicly released the identity, age, or specific motives of the individual under investigation. Detectives continue to investigate the full background of the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack on the information booth.

Scientific analysis of the chemical substance

Forensic specialists and police laboratory personnel are conducting chemical examinations to determine the exact composition and properties of the liquid. A police spokesperson stated that testing is required to identify the specific type of irritating or corrosive substance used in the incident. Law enforcement officials noted that, because only a small quantity of the liquid was involved, no severe injuries are expected among any of the nine affected people. The police investigation remains active as authorities await the final laboratory results and continue to evaluate the circumstances surrounding the event in Bad Kreuznach.
