Poll shows 49.2% of Poles approve of President Karol Nawrocki, driven by young voters

Overall evaluation of the presidency

A nationwide poll conducted by United Surveys by IBRiS for Wirtualna Polska shows that 49.2% of Polish respondents assess the presidency of Karol Nawrocki positively. Within the positive ratings, 32.2% of respondents describe his performance as definitely good, while 17% consider it rather good. In contrast, 38.1% of participants express a negative opinion, with 25.4% rating the presidency definitely poorly and 12.7% selecting rather poorly. An identical 12.7% of surveyed individuals remain undecided.

The survey was carried out between 21 and 23 August 2026 using a representative sample of 1,000 respondents across Poland. The pollster gathered data through a mixed-mode methodology combining computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) and computer-assisted web interviews (CAWI). The findings capture public opinion following more than a year of Nawrocki holding the presidential office.

Strong ratings among younger demographics

The demographic breakdown shows that younger Poles view Nawrocki with the highest level of approval. Among respondents aged 18 to 29, 73% evaluate his presidency positively, with 31% choosing definitely good and 42% selecting rather good. Negative evaluations in this youngest cohort account for 7%, while 20% state no clear opinion. None of the respondents in the 18 to 29 age bracket selected the definitely bad option.

A matching 73% positive rating appears among individuals aged 30 to 39. In this demographic, 54% award the president a definitely good rating, which represents the highest concentration of strong approval across all age brackets. The results were released as the Chancellery of the President opened the Przyszłość.pl youth conference at the presidential residence in Jurata, an event gathering nearly 800 young participants from across the country.

Disapproval among older generations and political divides

Disapproval increases among older demographics. In the 40 to 49 age group, 52% of respondents assess Nawrocki negatively, including 23% who choose rather poorly, against 45% who hold a positive view. The highest share of negative assessments is concentrated among senior citizens aged 70 and older, where 58% view his presidency unfavourably, with 45% selecting definitely bad.

Party affiliations also reveal pronounced political polarization across the electorate. Among voters backing opposition parties (Law and Justice, Confederation, Confederation of the Polish Crown, and Together), 78% assess the president positively, with 63% choosing definitely good. Conversely, 88% of supporters of the governing coalition evaluate his presidency negatively, including 65% who select definitely bad. Among remaining voters outside these main blocs, positive opinions lead at 51%.
