The 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted across Mexico, the United States and Canada, enters its second round of group fixtures on Monday 22 June. Four matches dominate the schedule, with defending champions Argentina and 2018 winners France both able to book their places in the round of 32 with victories. Earlier in the day, Uruguay faced Cape Verde and New Zealand took on Egypt, though results were not immediately available.

Argentina seek early qualification
Argentina, who opened with a 3-0 win over Algeria thanks to a Lionel Messi hat-trick, meet Austria at AT&T Stadium in Arlington at 19:00 CEST. Austria also won their first match, beating Jordan 3-1. A win for either side would all but guarantee a last-16 berth. Messi, playing amid concern for his father's health, is expected to lead the line alongside Julián Álvarez. The match is broadcast free-to-air on Rai 1 in Italy and on DAZN.
France target second win
Later, at 23:00 CEST, France take on Iraq at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Didier Deschamps' side beat Senegal in their opener, with Kylian Mbappé scoring twice. Iraq lost to Norway and are under pressure to avoid an early exit. A French victory would secure their passage to the knockout phase. The game is exclusive to DAZN in Italy.
Haaland's Norway in night action
The day's programme extends into the early hours of 23 June. At 02:00 CEST, Norway face Senegal at Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford. Erling Haaland, who also netted a brace on matchday one, will be key for the Norwegians, who can take a big step towards the last 16 with a win. Senegal, beaten by France, need a result to stay alive. Jordan and Algeria then meet at 05:00 CEST at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, with both sides seeking their first points after opening defeats.

In Italy, all 2026 World Cup matches are streamed on DAZN, with selected games also shown on Rai channels. Argentina-Austria is the only match of the day available on free-to-air television (Rai 1). The tournament features 12 groups of four teams, with the top two from each group plus the eight best third-placed sides advancing to the round of 32.
