Meghan Markle launches $148 luxury advent calendar with Los Angeles chocolatier Compartes
The Duchess of Sussex has introduced a limited-edition 24-piece chocolate advent calendar through her As Ever lifestyle brand, priced at £112 or €131.
Collaboration with Compartés
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has released a limited-edition 24-piece chocolate advent calendar under her lifestyle brand, As Ever. The product was created in partnership with Los Angeles artisanal confectioner Compartés, marking the third joint venture between the two businesses. Preorders opened on 1 October 2026, ahead of the general release on 2 October 2026. The calendar sells for $148 in the United States, £112 in the United Kingdom, and €131 across continental Europe.
In a newsletter sent to As Ever subscribers, the Duchess introduced the new holiday item:
In collaboration with the celebrated Los Angeles chocolatier Compartés, we have created a limited-edition advent calendar.
Design and flavor selection
The calendar consists of a blue box containing 24 individual doors, each concealing a single gourmet bonbon. The visual presentation draws inspiration from the Duchess's former Montecito residence and garden in California. Each door displays gold-finished numbers hand-painted with Meghan's calligraphy, while one chocolate is decorated with the As Ever signature plant motif.
The confectionery flavors directly reflect the fruit spreads sold on the lifestyle website, incorporating strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, and orange recipes. A written message on the exterior packaging states that the chocolates are intended to make every day of the holiday countdown sweet.

Return to the United Kingdom
The advent calendar represents Meghan's first commercial venture since relocating back to the United Kingdom with Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The family recently settled into a home in the Cotswolds after leaving California. Meghan initially teased the holiday release in an Instagram story on 1 October 2026, sharing footage of herself driving a golf cart alongside the caption about planning Christmas in June.
The release expands the product catalog of As Ever, which already features spreads, fruit jams, candles, teas, and wines. Meghan previously published lifestyle and seasonal entertainment guidance on her blog, The Tig, where in 2015 she advised readers on table settings and festive decor.
Pricing and public reception
The luxury item has prompted varied reactions across social media following its announcement. Several commentators focused on the $148 price tag for 24 chocolates, questioning the cost per unit for a seasonal countdown box. Other online critics commented on the aesthetic presentation of the blue packaging, arguing that the graphic design lacked traditional warmth and holiday motifs.
The product release takes place as Prince Harry and Meghan settle in England, where local media attention has focused on paparazzi presence near their children. Despite online criticism of the pricing, As Ever has stated that production quantities for the Compartés calendar remain strictly limited.
