Genesio stated that he intends to use the upcoming international window to evaluate squad performance with club executives, coaching staff, and players. While praising the spirit and commitment shown by his players, he noted that the team's defensive work inside their own penalty box required immediate correction after conceding avoidable goals across recent fixtures.

The victory lifted Paris Saint-Germain to sixth place with eight points from two wins, two draws, and one defeat. Marseille will return to league action on October 11 with an away trip to Troyes before hosting Olympiakos in the Europa League four days later.
