Ducati rider Marc Marquez won the full-length race at the 2026 San Marino and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix on Sunday, 13 September 2026. The Spanish rider followed up his sprint race victory from Saturday, 12 September 2026, to complete a sweep of both Misano events. The result represents Marquez's third double win (taking both the sprint race and the full Grand Prix) over the last four race weekends. By taking maximum points across the weekend, Marquez drew level with Jorge Martin at the top of the MotoGP riders' world championship standings. Alex Marquez finished in second place directly behind his brother, delivering a one-two result for the Marquez family at the Italian venue. Pedro Acosta crossed the finish line in third position to take the final spot on the podium.

Top five positions and championship standings
Behind the podium finishers, reports differed on the exact finishing order inside the top five. One report recorded Jorge Martin finishing in fourth place with Fermin Aldeguer securing fifth position. A separate report placed Martin in fifth position at the chequered flag. The combined weekend results brought Marquez and Martin into an exact tie for first place in the world championship standings. Marquez has now won both the sprint and feature races in three of the last four Grand Prix rounds. Opening lap crash for pole sitter Bezzecchi
The Grand Prix shifted on the first lap when pole sitter Marco Bezzecchi crashed out of the lead. The Aprilia rider from Rimini made a clean start from pole position and led the field through the opening corners while being pursued closely by Marc Marquez. In an effort to quickly build a gap over Marquez, Bezzecchi drifted wide of the ideal racing line between Turn 12 and Turn 13. He lost the front end of his motorcycle and slid into the gravel, ending his home race before completing the opening lap. Bezzecchi stood up immediately following the fall and avoided physical injury, though the retirement dealt a severe blow to his world championship aspirations.
Multiple retirements and record Misano crowd
Bezzecchi was not the only rider forced out of the contest during Sunday's race at the Misano World Circuit. Fellow Italian rider Pecco Bagnaia also suffered an early exit and had to retire from the Grand Prix. In addition to Bagnaia and Bezzecchi, three other riders failed to reach the chequered flag, with Diogo Moreira, Joan Mir, and Jack Miller all listed among the non-finishers. On the grandstands, the 2026 edition of the San Marino and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix set a new weekend attendance record for the Misano circuit, drawing an aggregate crowd of 184,051 spectators over the event.
