Getxo police arrest repeat offender after chainsaw pursuit in Algorta neighbourhood

Street dispute and chainsaw chase

Observing that the tool had stopped running, several members of the pursued group turned back and rushed the armed man in order to subdue him. A violent physical struggle broke out in the street between the suspect and the individuals who had been chased moments earlier. During the confrontation, the suspect sustained a bodily wound that was determined to be compatible with a bladed weapon. Because of the puncture injury he sustained during the struggle, emergency personnel evacuated him under police arrest to Cruces University Hospital for medical treatment.
