UK man admits drugging and raping his wife for 20 years in Greater Manchester court
A 60-year-old man from Stockport has pleaded guilty at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court to 60 sexual offences against his wife, whom he drugged and abused between 2004 and 2025 while inviting other men to participate.

A 60-year-old man from Stockport entered guilty pleas on 14 September 2026 to 45 sexual offences at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court. The defendant, whose identity is withheld by court order to protect his wife's legal anonymity, had previously pleaded guilty to 15 related offences in June. Dressed in a dark grey suit, blue shirt, and blue tie, he wept in the dock during the 20-minute proceeding before being permitted to sit down. His wife watched the hearing from the front row of the public gallery, accompanied by family members. The pleas resolved the prosecution against him directly, removing the need for his charges to go to a jury trial.
Scope of the offences
The 60 admitted offences span more than two decades, taking place between 12 November 2004 and 25 October 2025. Prosecutors detailed that the husband systematically administered chemical substances to his wife without her knowledge to stupefy and overpower her for sexual acts. The charges include rape, attempted rape, sexual assault, sexual assault by penetration, and the non-consensual distribution of intimate photographs and video recordings for sexual gratification. All incidents took place at the couple's home in the Stockport area of Greater Manchester prior to the defendant's arrest in October 2025.

Proceedings against co-defendants
Police charged 13 other men in connection with the abuse of the woman between 2018 and 2025. One co-defendant, 59-year-old university technician Keith F. from Dundee, previously entered guilty pleas to charges including conspiracy, rape, and administering stupefying substances. The remaining 12 men, who range in age from 28 to 74, have pleaded not guilty to all allegations. The defendants work across various sectors, with professions including a paramedic, a taxi driver, a former nightclub DJ, and a former football club director. A jury has been sworn in, and the trial for the 12 contested cases is scheduled to run for up to 12 weeks.
Police appeal and victim assistance
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that specialist support services are assisting the victim throughout the ongoing legal process. Assistant Chief Constable Rick Jackson issued a public statement addressing victims of chemically facilitated abuse following the court hearing.
