Randal Kolo Muani completed a permanent move from Paris Saint-Germain to Juventus on Sunday 2 August, the clubs confirmed. The 27-year-old French forward was photographed arriving at Turin airport and undergoing a medical before signing a five-year contract that runs until 2031. His previous PSG deal had been set to expire in 2028. The transfer fee is €38 million, with up to €12 million in additional bonuses, bringing the total potential value to €50 million. Le Parisien reported a slightly different breakdown of around €40 million plus €10 million in bonuses, describing the add-ons as easily achievable (Juventus need only finish in Serie A's top 10 next season). PSG had already banked €14 million from Kolo Muani's two earlier loans: €6 million from Juventus for the second half of 2024-25 and €8 million from Tottenham for the 2025-26 campaign, with both clubs covering his full salary.

A difficult Paris chapter

Kolo Muani joined PSG on the final day of the summer 2023 transfer window from Eintracht Frankfurt for €95 million, making it one of the most expensive signings for a French player in the club's history. He never found his footing, managing 11 goals and 7 assists in 54 appearances across all competitions. Coach Luis Enrique did not count on him, and at one stage the forward was demoted to train with the reserve squad. France head coach Didier Deschamps left him out of the 2026 World Cup selection.

Two loans, one successful return

In January 2025, Kolo Muani moved to Juventus on a six-month loan. He scored 10 goals in 22 matches, including 8 in 16 Serie A appearances, and quickly became a fan favourite. The following season he was loaned to Tottenham Hotspur, but the English stint proved disappointing: 5 goals in 41 outings. Juventus had been pursuing a reunion since the summer of 2025. Initial talks this window focused on a loan with an obligation to buy, but PSG pushed for a definitive transfer, and the obligation clause was removed to finalise a permanent deal.

Other Juventus moves

Juventus also confirmed the signing of Karem Alajbegovic from Bayer Leverkusen for €30 million, with the player committing until 2031. The club had explored a move for Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez but informed Aston Villa that the cost was too high, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. Martinez and Kolo Muani shared a dramatic moment in the 2022 World Cup final, when the goalkeeper saved the forward's shot deep in extra time.

PSG reshaping

Kolo Muani is the third departure from Paris this off-season, after Gonçalo Ramos joined AC Milan and Kang-In Lee moved to Atlético Madrid. The €50 million from the Kolo Muani sale is reportedly earmarked for the signing of Maghnes Akliouche from AS Monaco. Juventus will take their new forward on a pre-season tour to Hong Kong and Australia, with matches against Chelsea and Inter Milan.
