
Olympiacos announces loan signing of Portuguese winger Jota Silva from Nottingham Forest

Career path
Born on 1 August 1999 in Melres, Portugal, Silva came through the youth ranks of Sousense and later played for Paços Ferreira, Espinho, Leixões, and Casa Pia before making the jump to Vitória Guimarães in 2022. His breakout season came in 2023–24, when he scored 15 goals and provided seven assists, earning a move to Nottingham Forest. Over two years with the English club he made 38 appearances, contributing four goals and three assists. He spent the most recent campaign on loan at Beşiktaş in Turkey, where he netted five times in 22 matches.

Overcoming adversity
