State broadcast announces bounty on presidential son

Iranian state broadcaster IRIB TV3 aired a three-minute video targeting 20-year-old Barron Trump, the youngest son of US President Donald Trump. Transmitted on Channel 3 and distributed by outlets linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the production carried the title "Where and how should we kill Barron Trump?". The clip claimed to place a 10 million dollar bounty, equivalent to 8.5 million euros, for actionable information regarding his movements. The broadcast directed this financial appeal specifically toward Generation Z video game players active on platforms such as FIFA, Discord, and Xbox.

Claims of surveillance and security vulnerabilities

The video presented unverified claims regarding the daily routine, university location, and protective detail of Barron Trump. It asserted that Secret Service personnel disguise themselves as students at his educational institution to blend into the student body. The clip also alleged that an unidentified woman successfully bypassed security measures to attend a private meeting with him, later providing information to the producers. In addition, the material claimed that he communicates through unmonitored voice calls and text messages on Xbox, while identifying 19-year-old conservative media personality Bo Loudon as an associate coordinating his private social meetings.

The broadcast asserted that digital activity creates direct exposure for the president's son.

The broadcast follows a series of targeted media releases produced by Iranian state-affiliated outlets against members of the Trump family. In July, the Tasnim news agency released a video detailing the New York routines of First Lady Melania Trump. That earlier production proposed paying financial sums to fashion stylists to contaminate her clothing with nerve gas, concluding with direct references to Barron Trump.

During that same month, authorities in Tehran placed a billboard in Islamic Revolution Square showing Donald Trump in a coffin inscribed with the English slogan "We will kill Trump". State television broadcasts also claimed to monitor motorcade routes between presidential residences in Florida and New York and nearby airports.

Retaliatory motives and official US reaction

Iranian media framed these broadcast threats around the concept of qisas, the Islamic principle of retributive justice. Commentators cited two specific events as justification: the 2020 US drone strike that killed General Qassem Soleimani during Donald Trump's first presidential term, and the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in US-Israeli military strikes on 28 February.

The United States Secret Service confirmed that it is aware of the video broadcast and is actively investigating the threats directed at Barron Trump. News organizations noted that none of the claims regarding security breaches, digital surveillance, or movement tracking have been confirmed by independent sources.
