Anne Hathaway announces third pregnancy at 43 with simple Instagram video
The Oscar winner shared a brief clip set to Barbara Lewis’s “Baby I’m Yours”, showing her baby bump and captioning it “x Baby, I’m yours x”. She and husband Adam Shulman already have two sons.
A quiet reveal
After keeping the pregnancy under wraps during the promotional tour for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” and the Met Gala, Anne Hathaway chose Instagram to share the news on Friday morning. The 43-year-old actress posted a short reel in which she walks on screen wearing a white dress, arms folded, then drops them to reveal her belly and smiles before exiting the frame. The only soundtrack was the 1965 soul classic “Baby I’m Yours”. The caption read:
.x Baby, I’m yours x
A request for comment from the Associated Press was met with a wink from her spokesperson, who replied:
.I think the video speaks for itself.
Family life
Hathaway and Adam Shulman married in a California ceremony on 29 September 2012 after meeting at the Palm Springs Film Festival four years earlier. The couple already have two sons: Jonathan, born in 2016, and Jack, born in 2019. The new baby will bring the family to five.
Speaking about motherhood
In a rare interview with Elle magazine just weeks ago, the actress said she and her husband are soaking up the current phase while their boys still want to spend time together.
She added that their family is happy, they live in her dream city, and professionally things are going extremely well.Adam and I enjoy every moment.
The conversation echoed earlier reflections she has shared about how becoming a mother changed her. She has said that only through parenting did she feel she had truly arrived and become fully herself.
A streak of projects
Hathaway’s 2026 has been packed. After the success of “The Devil Wears Prada 2”, she appears in “Mother Mary” and will be seen in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming “The Odyssey”. In one account, she has acted in five films this year.
Fans and fellow actors flooded the Instagram post with thousands of congratulatory messages within minutes of the video going live.
