Hannover breaks losing run in Darmstadt

Hannover 96 secured its first victory of the 2. Bundesliga season on Sunday afternoon, defeating SV Darmstadt 98 with a 1-0 away result. Magdeburg secures home victory over Kiel

Meanwhile, 1. FC Magdeburg defeated Holstein Kiel 2-0 to claim its first home victory of the league season and hand the visitors their first defeat. Kiel controlled large stretches of the opening half and created dangerous chances through Phil Harres, who sent a 24th-minute lob wide of the post and forced a reflex save from Magdeburg goalkeeper Dominik Reimann in the 41st minute.
