Tour finale in Madrid
Álvaro Lafuente, who performs under the stage name Guitarricadelafuente, concluded his Spanish Leather tour on Friday night at the Movistar Arena in Madrid. The concert drew 15,500 spectators to the venue, marking the final date of an international touring cycle across Europe, the United States, and Latin America. Lafuente opened the 90-minute performance shortly after 21:00 with the single Full Time Papi, accompanied on stage by four musicians. He addressed the audience early in the show to commemorate the conclusion of the promotional campaign for his second studio album.
Tonight a path of the skin is ignited, shining through completely. These golden boots of Spanish Leather reach their end today in Madrid.
Cinema connections and stage performance
The staging incorporated visual and musical material from La bola negra, the feature film directed by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi in which Lafuente portrays the protagonist, Sebastián. The film will represent Spain at the Academy Awards and achieved the second-largest opening for Spanish cinema in the past decade. Lafuente performed the soundtrack cut La nieve while holding the character's trumpet over his shoulder, as scenes from the movie played across the arena video screens. During the performance of Agua y mezcal, Lafuente descended into the arena floor to dance with film co-stars Miguel Bernardeau and Carlos González. The concert reflected a stylistic shift from the seated acoustic sets of his 2022 La Cantera tour, incorporating dynamic movement across the stage and electronic autotune processing during El Conticinio.
Repertoire and housing protest dedication
The 18-song setlist featured 10 selections from the 12-track Spanish Leather album, alongside earlier releases such as Calypso, Futuros amantes, Poses, Pipe Dream, Mil y una noches, Guantanamera, and BABIECA!. Before performing La Puerta del Sol, the first track written for the album, Lafuente dedicated the performance to citizens occupying Madrid's central Puerta del Sol square. Activists had maintained an encampment at the location for seven days to protest against housing prices and real estate speculation. Lafuente placed a video call from the stage to artist Samantha Hudson, who appeared from a tent in the square to encourage attendance at a housing demonstration organized for Saturday at 12:00.

Career trajectory and tour milestones
The Madrid finale concluded an international tour that followed the 2025 release of Spanish Leather. Recent milestones in Lafuente's schedule included an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's television show in the United States and a guest performance during the opening date of Shakira's Madrid concert residency. Lafuente conceived Spanish Leather around the experience of leaving a rural town to explore urban life, sensuality, and vulnerability. The Madrid setlist drew primarily from this material, retaining only two tracks from his 2022 debut album, Mil y una noches and Caballito, while omitting album tracks Los chicos del club and Sonata nº 9 de los heavies de Gran Vía.
