The draw

The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) announced the results of its monthly tax lottery draw on Thursday, 29 October 2026. The draw covers electronic transactions cleared in September 2026 and pays prizes of up to 50,000 euros. Sources differ on the number of the draw, calling it either the 60th or the 61st monthly draw. Every month, the draw covers all card and other electronic payments made in the country the previous month, including purchases of goods and services.

Prizes and winners

In total, 556 winning tickets were drawn. One ticket wins 50,000 euros, five tickets win 20,000 euros each, 50 tickets win 5,000 euros each, and 500 tickets win 1,000 euros each. One outlet lists the 500 smaller prizes at 2,000 euros, which conflicts with the other reports of 1,000 euros.

The results can be checked through AADE's electronic service, where participants can see whether their ticket is among the winners.

Tickets can also be multiplied. If card or electronic spending in the reference month exceeds 30%, 50% or 70% of monthly income (one twelfth of annual income), a participant's tickets double, triple or quadruple respectively. Each euro spent by card or other electronic means earns one ticket, with a monthly spending ceiling of 10,000 euros.

Who can take part

Participants are natural persons with a Greek tax number (AFM) who are over 18. Entry requires at least one card or other electronic payment cleared by banks in the previous month. Anyone obliged to file a tax return must have filed one for the most recent tax year. The draw is automatic and based on transaction data collected by the tax administration.

Claiming payments

Winners who have not declared a payment account have three months to do so from the draw, a period one source counts from the day after the draw. Accounts are declared through the TAXISnet personalised information app or, according to another source, through the myAADE service under the "Register and Contact" option, where the winner must appear as the beneficiary. If no account is declared in time, the prize amount is treated as unclaimed, and the same applies if a winner dies before payment. Prizes are personal and cannot be transferred or inherited. They are non-seizable, tax-free, not treated as income, and not subject to any state or third-party deduction.
