Greece opens online platform for 2026 university entrance applications, deadline July 16
The Greek Ministry of Education launched the electronic platform for submitting university and vocational school preferences on July 7, with a strict deadline of July 16 at 23:59.
Platform opens
Candidates who sat the 2026 Panhellenic Exams can now submit their preferences through the official portal at michanografiko.it.minedu.gov.gr. The platform went live at 09:00 on Tuesday, July 7, and will remain open until 23:59 on Thursday, July 16. Applicants from both General Lyceums (GEL) and Vocational Lyceums (EPAL) use the same system to file their main application for higher education institutions (AEI) and a parallel form for Schools of Advanced Vocational Training (SAEK).

Password and support
Candidates who have not yet obtained a personal security code can visit their lyceum during scheduled duty days or on the two extra operating days in July. Those who have forgotten their password can reset it via the platform’s “Forgot Security Code” option, provided they registered an email address when the code was first issued. Schools will also offer technical support and computer access on Friday, July 10, and on the final deadline day, July 16.
Deadline and finalisation
The ministry stressed that the submission deadline is absolute. No application can be finalised or modified after it passes. Once a candidate confirms their choices, the system automatically assigns a protocol number. The ministry recommends printing or saving the finalised form so that applicants can review their selections at any time.
Certificates and repeat exams
From Wednesday, July 8, participation certificates for the 2026 exams will be available. These documents include grades for all nationally examined subjects. Candidates who will sit the repeat Panhellenic Exams in September 2026 will submit their application after those exams, once they receive their personal security code.
