Gracie Abrams earns first No. 1 on Billboard 200 as 'Daughter From Hell' opens with 124,000 units
The singer-songwriter's third album opens with 124,000 equivalent units, her best week ever, and launches a 64-date world tour starting in December.
Gracie Abrams has landed her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 as "Daughter From Hell" debuts atop the chart dated Aug. 1, 2026. The set earned 124,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending July 23, according to Luminate, marking the singer-songwriter's best week ever by units.
Chart debut
The 124,000-unit opening surpasses the 89,000 units earned by her previous album, "The Secret of Us," which debuted and peaked at No. 2 in July 2024. Of the total, album sales comprised 77,000 copies, her best sales week, while streaming equivalent units contributed 46,500, equaling 47.27 million on-demand official streams of the album's songs. Track equivalent albums added about 500 units. The album was released across 10 vinyl variants, four CD editions, two cassettes and two digital download and streaming editions, including a Target-exclusive version with a bonus track.

Abrams becomes the sixth act to earn a first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2026, following Noah Kahan, Ella Langley, Megan Moroney, Don Toliver and Megadeth. In all of 2025, five acts achieved their first chart-topper.
Album details and credits
"Daughter From Hell" was announced on May 11 and preceded by two charting singles on the Billboard Hot 100: "Hit the Wall" and "Look at My Life." The album was produced by Aaron Dessner of The National, who also worked on Abrams' first two albums, "Good Riddance" and "The Secret of Us." Writing credits include Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), Abrams' longtime friend Audrey Hobert, and her partner Paul Mescal, who co-wrote the track "Imaginary Friend."
Tour announcement
Abrams has also announced the 64-date "Look at My Life" international arena tour. The North American leg begins in December 2026 at Denver's Ball Arena and runs through March 2027, wrapping with a four-night stand at Brooklyn's Barclays Center from March 16-20. After a three-week break, she will play 27 shows across the U.K. and Europe in April and May 2027, including four nights at London's O2.

Elsewhere on the latest Billboard 200, Olivia Rodrigo's "You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love" enters at No. 2. Morgan Wallen's "I'm the Problem" is at No. 3, followed by Ella Langley's "Dandelion" at No. 4 and Noah Kahan's "The Great Divide" at No. 5. Drake's "Iceman" lands at No. 6, while Future's "The Real Me" dips from No. 1 to No. 7. Michael Jackson's "Thriller" rises 9-8, and Morgan Wallen's "One Thing at a Time" holds at No. 10. BTS' "Arirang" rebounds from No. 26 to No. 9 following the release of a vinyl picture disc edition.
Abrams' reaction
Speaking at an underplay show at New York's Bowery Ballroom ahead of the album's release, Abrams described the project as emerging from a period of quiet after her last tour ended.
Being in your 20s is so strange and weird, it can feel lonely in a new way and it can feel like thrilling in a new way. You imagine your future differently all of a sudden and then your adolescence still feels like it's like right behind.
After sharing two bonus tracks as downloads, she wrote on social media: "I'm so moved to hear from those of you who are connecting with the record so far. Your messages have made my heart grow ten sizes."
