Glastonbury 2027 tickets sell out in 42 minutes at highest price of £408
General admission tickets for the 2027 Glastonbury Festival sold out in 42 minutes on Sunday morning, following an overhaul of the online queue system and a price rise to £408.
Rapid sellout on Sunday morning
All general admission tickets for the 2027 Glastonbury Festival sold out in 42 minutes after going on sale at 09:00 BST on Sunday, 4 October 2026. Organisers announced the sellout across their website and social media channels shortly before 09:45 BST, noting that buyer demand significantly outstripped the available allocation. The standard weekend pass was priced at £408, which includes a £5 booking fee per ticket, marking a £29.50 increase compared to the 2025 event. The Sunday release followed the coach package sale on Thursday, 1 October 2026, where the initial batch of travel-inclusive tickets sold out in less than 30 minutes after launching at 18:00 BST.
Glastonbury organisers acknowledged the high interest and released a statement for those unable to secure entry.
Thank you to everyone who bought one and we're sorry to those of you who missed out on a morning where demand greatly exceeded supply.
Technical changes to the queue system
Prospective attendees encountered changes to the online checkout system designed to deter ticket touts and automated buying bots. Under the revised framework, users were required to submit their pre-registration number before entering the queue, rather than inputting it at the point of payment. This modification assigned a single, unique queue position per registration ID, preventing individuals from gaining multiple queue entries across different web browsers, IP addresses, or mobile devices. Buyers were limited to purchasing a maximum of six tickets per transaction, and organisers warned that any passes acquired through secondary intermediaries would face cancellation. Those who missed out on Sunday will have a final opportunity to purchase tickets during the official resale of returned and cancelled passes in spring 2027.

Return after the 2026 fallow period
The festival will run from 23 to 27 June 2027 at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, marking its return after taking a planned fallow year in 2026 to allow the farmland to recover. Founded in 1970, the event periodically takes scheduled breaks to preserve the local landscape where festivalgoers camp. While this year's 42-minute sellout represents rapid sales, the fastest sellout in festival history occurred in 2014 for the 2015 festival, when 15,000 pre-sale tickets sold out in 15 minutes and the remaining 120,000 passes were purchased in 26 minutes.
Lineup preparations and previous editions
The full musical lineup for 2027 remains unannounced, though festival co-organiser Emily Eavis confirmed in August that all primary headliners had been booked. Speculation had circulated regarding an appearance by Oasis, but both the band and Eavis confirmed they will not perform at the 2027 event. Eavis commented on the booking progress during an appearance on BBC Radio 4's PM programme.
We're very excited about it. It's all coming together really well.
The previous festival in 2025 welcomed approximately 210,000 attendees and featured headlining performances from The 1975, Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts, Olivia Rodrigo, and Charli XCX. That edition also included surprise sets from Lorde, Lewis Capaldi, Haim, and Pulp, alongside performances by Alanis Morissette, Supergrass, Rod Stewart, The Prodigy, Snow Patrol, Burning Spear, and Raye. The 2025 event also drew police scrutiny from Avon and Somerset Police after stage chants by rap trio Kneecap and punk duo Bob Vylan.
