Helene Fischer opens 360° stadium tour in Dresden with airborne love duet and a playful nod to ex
After nearly three years away, Helene Fischer kicked off her 360° stadium tour in Dresden, performing new songs and an emotional aerial routine with husband Thomas Seitel before 35,000 fans.
Return after three-year hiatus
After almost three years away from major tours, Helene Fischer kicked off her "360° Stadion Tour" on Wednesday evening in Dresden's Rudolf-Harbig-Stadion. Around 35,000 fans attended the nearly sold-out show, which marked the singer's return to the big stage with a production that featured a 360-degree stage, pyrotechnics, and wire-flying. Fischer appeared beneath the stadium roof at 8:17 p.m., descending onto the central platform. "Good evening Dresden, are you ready?" she greeted the crowd, launching into a program that mixed new material with hits from her two-decade career.
An aerial love duet
The emotional centerpiece came during the unreleased song "An meiner Seite", when Fischer's husband, Thomas Seitel, floated onto the stage and performed an acrobatic duet with her high above the audience. The pair were described as "closely entwined" in a sequence that the Süddeutsche Zeitung called "completely enchanting". It was, according to Bild, "the greatest declaration of love she could make to her husband." The moment drew sustained applause from the stadium.
This will be the summer party of our lives!
New tracks and a playful stumble
Fischer introduced three new songs: the aforementioned "An meiner Seite", "Warum", and her current number-one hit "Heute Nacht". She also performed a duet originally recorded with her ex-partner Florian Silbereisen, "Schau mal herein". In Silbereisen's absence, Fischer sang both parts but had a brief lapse on the lyrics. "I miss Flori!" she laughed, prompting cheers from the audience. The setlist spanned her career, from early songs like "Feuer am Horizont" to the inescapable "Atemlos durch die Nacht".
Fan appreciation and two-decade milestone
Fischer dedicated the evening to her supporters, calling the tour a "huge thank you for 20 years at my side." She brought a newlywed couple on stage who had celebrated their civil ceremony at the concert, took a photograph with a 20-year-old fan holding a sign, and publicly praised a midwife who had written that she delivers babies while listening to Fischer's music. "I take my hat off to your work and that of all midwives," Fischer told her.
How amazing was this concert? I'm speechless!
Tour logistics and minor gripes
The tour's 15 stadium dates include stops in Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne, Stuttgart, Munich, Zürich, Amsterdam, and Vienna (the latter on July 11 at the Happel Stadion). The 360-degree stage, while designed for maximal proximity, drew a small number of complaints that the structure occasionally blocked sightlines. Still, reviews were overwhelmingly positive, with n-tv declaring the opening a "commanding victory". Fischer is set to perform through mid-July, balancing family life with the demands of a large-scale tour.
