
One dead, one seriously injured in head-on collision on provincial road in western Thessaloniki
A 42-year-old man died and a 41-year-old driver was seriously injured after two cars collided head-on on the Chalastra-Sindou provincial road in western Thessaloniki on Saturday evening.

On Saturday, 27 June 2026, two private cars collided head-on on the provincial road between Chalastra and Sindou in western Thessaloniki. The accident occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m., at the 3rd kilometer of the road, according to police.
Casualties and response
The 42-year-old male driver of the first vehicle died at the scene. The 41-year-old driver of the second car was seriously injured and transported to Papanikolaou Hospital in Thessaloniki for treatment.
The Traffic Police Department of Chalkidona has taken over the preliminary investigation to determine the exact causes and circumstances of the crash.
