
22-year-old dead, four teenagers injured in early morning rollover near Staszów; police search for possible sixth occupant
A Volkswagen Golf carrying five young people left the road and rolled over before dawn on Sunday in Wólka Żabna. One man died and four others were hospitalised, one critically, while police investigate whether a sixth person fled the scene.
The crash
At around 5 a.m. on Sunday, a Volkswagen Golf travelling on provincial road 764 in Wólka Żabna, near Staszów, left the roadway, struck a road sign, and rolled over multiple times. The driver lost control for reasons that remain unknown. Emergency services from the surrounding area rushed to the scene.
Casualties
A 22-year-old man died at the scene. Four other occupants, aged 17 to 19, were taken to hospitals in Staszów, Busko-Zdrój, and Kielce. One of the teenagers is in critical condition.
