Woman in her 80s dies after being struck by car in Ballinrobe, County Mayo
An elderly pedestrian injured after being hit by a car on Glebe Street in Ballinrobe, County Mayo, has died at Mayo University Hospital.

A woman in her 80s died following a road traffic collision on Glebe Street in Ballinrobe, County Mayo. The collision occurred at around 4:20pm on Thursday, 20 August 2026, when the pedestrian was struck by a car. She was transported to Mayo University Hospital with serious injuries, where she subsequently died.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and road users with camera or dash-cam footage from the area of the N84 and Glebe Street between 3:50pm and 4:50pm on Thursday, 20 August.
