Greek vocational students sit specialisation exams as 2026 university entrance tests continue

Today's subjects

Candidates from Greece's Vocational High Schools (EPAL) are sitting their first specialisation exams today, Thursday 4 June 2026. The four subjects being examined are Anatomy-Physiology II, Principles of Economic Theory (AOT), Computer Networks, and Principles of Organic Farming. The subjects vary according to each candidate's chosen field of study.

Exam day logistics

The examination period begins at 08:30 a.m., with candidates required to be in their examination rooms no later than 08:00 a.m. The standard duration for each exam is three hours. The Architectural Design exam, which will be held on Saturday, is the sole exception, lasting four hours.

What comes next

The first week of EPAL examinations will conclude on Saturday 6 June 2026, when candidates will be tested in Electrical Engineering 2, Architectural Design, Computer Programming, and History of Modern Art. The specialisation exams will then continue into the following week, with the final session scheduled for Monday 15 June 2026.

The wider context

Today marks the third day of the 2026 Panhellenic Examinations for EPAL candidates. They began on Saturday 30 May with the Modern Greek language exam and continued on Tuesday 2 June with Mathematics. Meanwhile, candidates from General High Schools (GEL) will sit their own exams on Friday 5 June 2026, covering Latin (Humanities orientation), Chemistry (Sciences and Health Studies orientation), and Informatics (Economics and Informatics orientation).
