Dua Lipa joins Shakira on stage in Madrid during 12-date concert residency
The British singer made an unannounced appearance at the Iberdrola Music venue to sing Antología during the eighth show of Shakira's Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour residency.
Surprise duet in Madrid
Shakira brought British singer Dua Lipa onto the stage during her eighth concert in Madrid on Saturday night, performing a duet of the acoustic ballad Antología. The unannounced appearance occurred past 22:30 at the Iberdrola Music venue, marking the first time the two artists performed together on stage or in a studio recording. Dua Lipa had previously sung Antología during her own 2025 tour stop in Bogotá, which prompted social media interactions between the two artists about collaborating in the future. Audience speculation before the weekend had centered on Colombian singer Maluma following their recent collaborative release titled Agua, but Dua Lipa entered to embrace Shakira before delivering her lines in Spanish, stating that she was very grateful to be there.
For me it is an honor and a luxury to sing this song that means so much to me with this woman so admired and so loved in the whole world. And for me personally, because today I officially declare myself her fan. With you, Dua Lipa!

Guest performers and the pre-show entrance
Dua Lipa joins a roster of guest performers during the Madrid residency that previously included Alejandro Sanz, Laura Pausini, and Manuel Turizo. Alongside musical duets, the production features an entrance walk before each show where Shakira walks toward the stage with invited public figures. On Friday 2 October, during a show held in rainy conditions, the entrance group included former gymnast Almudena Cid, actor Karla Sofía Gascón, comedian Eva Soriano, Henar Álvarez, Clara Alvarado, and Aria Vega. Almudena Cid described joining the group as entering Shakira's pack, attending alongside Gerardo Berodia. Other public figures who have joined previous walkway appearances include Paula Echevarría, Daniella Bustamante, Lola Lolita, Marta Díaz, La Jedet, Alice Campello, Xuso Jones, Álvaro Morte, and Carolina Marín.
Vocal technique and tour reception
Shakira, currently 49 years old, registers 92.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify as the most-listened-to female Spanish-language artist globally. Following online discussions regarding live audio versus backing playback during the tour, vocal coach Israel del Amo examined her Madrid performances in published video analyses. Del Amo affirmed that her performances are sung live, noting specific technical elements such as tongue positioning that determines vocal color, breathy registers, melismas, and rapid transitions between registers known as vocal flips. Del Amo explained that these controlled vocal flips represent abrupt transitions between chest and head voice, allowing her to deliver live versions of catalog tracks such as Hips Don't Lie, Waka Waka, and her session with Bizarrap.
