Officers arriving at the location found scattered fragments belonging to a fallen drone. Another explosion occurred outside the village of Crocmaz in the Ștefan Vodă district, detonating inside a vineyard close to an agricultural brigade farm. The blast shattered the windows of the agricultural building and sparked a vegetation fire in the field, though police confirmed that nobody was injured.
Debris discoveries and safety alerts
Police teams and investigative units deployed across several locations to document each site and establish the full circumstances of the incidents. Officers discovered additional drone fragments near the localities of Dubovca and Hâncești. Further pieces of wreckage were recovered in the Anenii Noi district, on terrain situated between the villages of Delacău and Puhăceni. Authorities noted that they have not yet determined the exact technical type or national origin of the unmanned aircraft. Law enforcement instructed citizens not to approach suspicious objects or debris found in fields and asked residents to report any findings immediately by dialing the 112 emergency telephone number.
Response from the Moldovan presidency
Moldovan President Maia Sandu addressed the cross-border violations and the Russian strikes conducted against neighboring Ukraine. Sandu stated that the military action across the border continues to endanger Moldovan national security and civilian lives directly.
This morning, in just 15 minutes, five drones and missiles violated the airspace of the Republic of Moldova and exploded near settlements in four districts. Russia's war against Ukraine directly endangers the lives of our citizens.
The president called for continued international assistance for Ukraine to maintain regional peace and protect civilian populations against aerial incursions.
Russia can stop this war today, and as long as it continues to attack, Ukraine needs support to defend its people and protect our peace as well.
