In contrast, Nadbużański Border Guard Regional Unit spokesman Major Dariusz Sienicki stated that Polish officials received notification confirming a truck was destroyed 800 metres from the crossing, without confirmation of a direct hit on the fuel station itself. The Yahodyn-Dorohusk crossing on Polish national road 12 represents one of the primary transit arteries between the two countries, dedicated predominantly to heavy freight traffic since 2022.

Air defence mobilization and civil alerts

The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces initiated preventive military air operations inside Polish airspace shortly after 04:00 on Sunday.
