Disney+ to stream Super Bowl LXI in 2027 alongside linear ESPN and ABC broadcast
The Walt Disney Company will stream Super Bowl LXI on Disney+ on 14 February 2027 across the United States and 55 international markets, expanding on traditional broadcasts by ESPN and ABC.
Super Bowl LXI streaming expansion
The Walt Disney Company announced on Wednesday that Super Bowl LXI will stream live on Disney+ on 14 February 2027, marking the first time the platform carries the NFL championship game. The contest at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles represents ESPN's first production of a Super Bowl in network history, as well as ABC's first telecast of the game since 2006 during the George W. Bush administration. All Disney+ subscribers in the United States will have access to the main English-language feed alongside the Spanish-language telecast from ESPN Deportes. Spanish-language Super Bowl broadcasts have aired in the United States since 2014. The main broadcast team will feature play-by-play commentator Joe Buck, game analyst Troy Aikman, and sideline reporters Lisa Salters and Laura Rutledge. All ESPN programming for the game will also remain accessible on the domestic ESPN App.
Global broadcast and platform distribution
Beyond domestic streaming, Disney+ plans to broadcast the game in 55 international markets, including Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the Caribbean, and Spanish-speaking Latin America. ESPN linear channels will simultaneously carry the feed across more than 130 countries and territories worldwide. Outside the United States and China, sports streaming service DAZN also holds rights across more than 200 countries through its NFL Game Pass package. The multi-platform approach reflects the stated operating mission of ESPN as Disney expands its digital sports footprint against international streaming platforms like Netflix and YouTube.

Monday Night Football simulcasts
Before the championship game in February 2027, Disney+ will carry two regular-season Monday Night Football games during the 2026 season. The first simulcast is scheduled for 26 October 2026, when the Philadelphia Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys in a Week 7 matchup. A second regular-season Monday Night Football game will stream on the platform on a date yet to be announced. Both contests will air across linear channels ESPN, ABC, and ESPN Deportes, with streaming available through both the ESPN App and Disney+. Subscribers will be able to watch both the English and Spanish feeds of the Monday night games directly on Disney+.
Advertising sellout and commercial pricing
Commercial inventory for Super Bowl LXI was entirely sold out by August 2026, the earliest recorded sellout by a network in the history of the event. The inventory encompasses 58 brands across 34 product categories, with nine companies advertising in the championship game for the first time. In the event that contracted advertisers back out of their commitments, Disney is seeking between $10 million and $12 million for each replacement 30-second commercial spot. The streaming strategy follows digital sports broadcasts by rival platforms, including NBC's Peacock, which carried the game earlier in the year.
