Real Madrid agree over 100 million euro fee for Leipzig winger Yann Diomande

The deal

Real Madrid reached an agreement with RB Leipzig on 26 July to sign Ivorian winger Yann Diomande for a fee exceeding 100 million euros, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. The 19-year-old had attracted interest from Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, but the Spanish club moved decisively after PSG withdrew from negotiations earlier that day. Diomande is expected to complete a medical in Madrid next week before signing a five-year contract that runs until 2031.

Diomande rose to prominence during the 2026 World Cup, where his performances for Ivory Coast caught the attention of Europe's elite clubs. Last season with Leipzig, he made 45 appearances across all competitions, scoring 15 goals and providing 11 assists. Record sale for Leipzig

With a club-to-club deal in place, Diomande will board a flight to Madrid in the coming days for a medical. If all goes smoothly, he will sign his contract and join Real Madrid for pre-season preparations.
