In the lower half, Spain faces an Austrian team captained by Jürgen Melzer. Spain advanced by defeating Chile in the qualifiers without Carlos Alcaraz, who is listed alongside Rafael Jodar. The remaining quarter-final pits Germany against Great Britain. Germany is seeking its first Davis Cup title since 1993, with US Open winner Alexander Zverev having joined the team in Halle immediately after his grand slam win to defeat Croatia alongside doubles finalists Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz.

Leon Smith's British team earned a spot in the Finals for the first time since 2023 by defeating Ecuador 4-0 at London's Copper Box.
