Castilla y León presents 2027 budget of 16,471.94 million euros, up 13.11%
The regional government presented its 2027 budget bill, worth 16,471.94 million euros and 13.11% above the budget in force. The bill also reduces funding for unions and employer organisations by about four million euros.
The Junta de Castilla y León presented the draft 2027 budget bill on 13 October 2026, with spending of 16,471.94 million euros. That is 13.11% above the budget currently in force, the 14,562 million euros approved for 2024, since the PP alone filed no bill in 2025 and the 2026 draft was rejected during the debate on amendments to the whole. Vice-president Carlos Pollán said the bill cuts funding for unions and employer organisations by about four million euros, roughly 33%, leaving eight million from a base of twelve million. He said the regional government would meet its legal obligations and signed agreements, including commitments to some NGOs for 2027, and would review NGO grants before future calls or agreements.
The employers' confederation CEOE Castilla y León welcomed the bill and urged the parliamentary groups to negotiate while protecting social dialogue. Among the items the Chamber of Commerce council highlighted were 265 million euros for business creation, competitiveness and internationalisation, 100 million euros for industrial land and 292 million euros for housing. The bill forecasts 4,489.85 million euros in direct tax revenue and 4,646.69 million euros in indirect taxes for 2027, while spending on debt is set to fall 4.69% to 1,701 million euros.
