CMF, Nothing's sub-brand, launches first portable speakers Speaker S and Speaker M
The Speaker S costs 59 euros and the Speaker M 99 euros, both rated for up to 18 hours of playback. The speakers are sold in Nothing's official store, with more European distributors due in early November.
A milk carton design in two sizes
CMF, the budget sub-brand of Nothing, presented its first portable speakers, the Speaker S and the Speaker M, on 13 October 2026. The vertical, compact casing resembles a milk carton, which the company says moves away from conventional speaker shapes. The Speaker S is the smaller model, with a 45 mm driver covering 70 Hz to 20 kHz, two passive radiators and up to 10 W RMS, and it weighs 334 g. The Speaker M uses a dedicated woofer and tweeter in a sealed box, reaches 60 Hz to 20 kHz and 35 W RMS according to La Razón, and weighs 604 g. TechRadar frames the S as the model for listening on the go and the M as the choice for filling a room at a party or gathering.

Swappable panels and durability
Both models use front panels and volume dials that can be detached and exchanged through an unlock switch on the back, letting buyers mix the four colours: white, orange, turquoise and a dark finish. Sources differ on that dark finish, with some reports listing black and others dark grey. CMF also offers a guide for 3D-printing custom volume knobs and front panels, and one report says the company plans to release design files for printing. Both speakers carry an IP68 rating and can be immersed in up to 1.5 metres of water for a maximum of 30 minutes.
Battery, connectivity and modes
Each speaker is rated for up to 18 hours of playback, measured at 50% volume with Ultra Bass switched on, and ten minutes of fast charging gives one hour of listening. Both support Bluetooth 6.0, USB-C audio input and NFC, along with Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair. Dual-device connection lets users switch between two sources without repairing the speaker each time. Party Mode uses Auracast to synchronise two or more compatible speakers, including models from other brands, while Stereo Mode splits left and right channels but needs two units of the same model. Adaptive Tuning adjusts power and equalisation during playback, and the Nothing X app offers four sound profiles: balanced, more bass, more treble or voice.
Pricing, availability and context
The Speaker S costs 59 euros and the Speaker M 99 euros. TechRadar lists different prices in other currencies: $59 / £49 for the S and $109 / $99 for the M. Both speakers are already sold in Nothing's official store, and La Razón reports that they reach more European distributors in early November. Europa Press reports that Nothing plans to turn CMF into an independent subsidiary based in India. CMF had released its first open-ear headphones just over a month earlier, followed by the Buds Neo.
