Social media influencer Braden Peters, known online as Clavicular, faces three criminal charges in Massachusetts for allegedly drugging and raping a 17-year-old girl. A criminal complaint issued on September 8, 2026, charges the 20-year-old streamer with rape, drugging a person for sexual intercourse, and procuring alcohol for a person under 21. A clerk-magistrate in Barnstable County found probable cause to proceed with the case on September 4, 2026, following a police investigation initiated by the victim on June 4. Peters, who resides in Florida and is not in police custody, is scheduled for arraignment on October 14, 2026, at a state district court in Orleans, Massachusetts.

Allegations surrounding Chatham livestream

The criminal charges stem from an encounter on May 23, 2025, at the Peters family home on Morris Island in Chatham, a gated coastal development overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The accuser, Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza, an aspiring influencer known online as Alorah, first connected with Peters on Instagram when she was 16 years old. Peters offered to pay her to participate in live broadcasts aimed at establishing her as a prominent female figure in the looksmaxxing subculture. On the day of the incident, Peters ordered a rideshare for Mendoza from her grandparents' residence. After arriving and greeting Peters' mother and grandmother, Mendoza accompanied Peters to his bedroom to record a livestream on Twitch.

During the broadcast, Peters instructed Mendoza to tell viewers that she was 18 years old and that the cups of vodka she was consuming were water. Mendoza told investigators that she drank two to three full cups of vodka and quickly became incapacitated. Video clips reviewed by law enforcement showed the pair discussing her visible intoxication before Peters initiated a kiss. Mendoza reported falling asleep after the stream ended and waking up the following morning as Peters subjected her to non-consensual sexual intercourse.

Defense response and parallel litigation

Peters publicly denied the accusations on social media following the formal issuance of the charges, claiming that the legal action is an extortion attempt targeting his online success.

“This happens to all young, successful men: people try to get at your money. Greed is evil.”

His defense attorney, Jeff Neiman, stated that Peters maintains his innocence, denies all allegations, and intends to contest the prosecution in court. Peters' spokesperson, Mitchell Jackson, noted that Mendoza previously filed a civil lawsuit in Florida in April, adding that the accuser approached law enforcement only after Peters moved to dismiss the civil case. Andrew Moss, an attorney representing Mendoza, declined to comment in detail on the criminal case.

Looksmaxxing subculture and previous controversies

Peters amassed approximately 2.5 million followers across TikTok and Twitch by promoting looksmaxxing, an online subculture focused on extreme physical alteration and male facial aesthetics. His posts advocated unverified and hazardous practices, including striking facial bones with hammers to stimulate bone growth, using anabolic steroids, and taking illicit substances for rapid weight loss. Charging documents also indicate that Peters injected a fat-dissolving solution into Mendoza's face during a live broadcast. The rape prosecution follows earlier legal controversies involving Peters, including a criminal conviction in Florida for discharging a firearm at an alligator.
