Charli XCX Releases Three 'Music, Fashion, Film' B-Sides on iTunes, With Black-and-White Videos

The release

Charli XCX made three B-side tracks from her new album Music, Fashion, Film available as a digital deluxe edition on iTunes on Sunday, July 26. The collection, titled Music, Fashion, Film (B-Sides Edition), costs $4.99 and includes the original 11 album tracks, the three new songs, and their accompanying black-and-white music videos. The B-sides had previously been shared only on her private Instagram account @b.sides and on limited-edition physical 7-inch singles for the pre-release tracks "Rock Music," "SS26," and "Camera," as well as a comprehensive box set. The parent album, her highly anticipated follow-up to Brat and second full-length release of 2026 after the Wuthering Heights soundtrack, arrived on Friday, July 24, alongside an online short film. Charli XCX still refers to the platform as iTunes, not Apple Music.

The songs and videos

The three tracks are "I Keep on Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night," "Playboy Bunny," and "If You Take Away the Music Then What Has She Got?" Each comes with a black-and-white video, consistent with the album's monochrome visual theme. The songs were originally created as counterparts to the singles that preceded the album's release.

Why she changed her mind

Charli XCX had previously told fans the B-sides would never appear on streaming services. In an Instagram post on Sunday, she explained her reversal.

i made b sides for each of the songs released ahead of Music, Fashion, Film because it felt natural to pair each songs with a fitting counterpart - something that's adjacent to the album but not entirely part of it. traditionally, b sides often become fan favorites... and i guess in the case of some of the b sides for this album, that has proven to be true. i felt adamant i wouldn't put them on streaming because it sort of felt counter intuitive to the whole ethos of those songs, but i know you all really wanted them so i've begrudgingly put them on itunes lol.

She added, "you can call me a hypocrite, i don't mind ;)" and signed off with "love you all and i hope you enjoy these special songs in ur ears xx."

What's next

Charli XCX will launch a limited North American arena tour on September 11 in Philadelphia, with stops in Brooklyn, Toronto, Boston, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, San Diego, Los Angeles, Glendale, and Las Vegas. She is also set to appear at festivals including Lollapalooza and Outside Lands. Her film I Want Your Sex, directed by Gregg Araki, is scheduled for a theatrical release. At a pop-up event in Los Angeles, she discussed her current viewing habits, saying she was catching up on Love Island UK and warning, "If anyone says a fucking thing, dead to me." She described the show as "kind of high art."
