Owner's reaction and coaching change
CFR Cluj owner Nelu Varga, also referred to as Ioan Varga in some sources, announced immediately after the match that coach Antonio Folha will be dismissed. Speaking to Fanatik, Varga expressed his frustration in stark terms.
Excuse me, but I am black with anger. It is hard for me to speak after such humiliation and such football. I will clean everything! I will clean even pants, coaches and some of the players. I don't want to give names at this hour, but you will see that I will keep my word and I will indeed clean house at CFR Cluj.

They were a superior team. There is nothing we can do now, maybe we will do something different away, but it is very hard. We no longer know how football works. It is a hard score, you can imagine. I tried, but unfortunately they were better. I am sorry for the supporters, who have always been by our side.
Camora attributed the gap between Romanian and Norwegian football to youth academy structures, arguing that Norwegian clubs invest more in children and juniors, provide better conditions, and do not charge parents for their children to remain in academies.
Tromsø shareholder's perspective
Alexandru Cuc, a Romanian-born shareholder of Tromsø IL holding 500 shares and known in Norway as Alex Cook, watched the match on television and told Digi Sport he was surprised by the margin of victory. He criticised CFR's defensive organisation, pointing to the opening goal where six CFR players surrounded the attacker yet failed to prevent the cross and finish. When asked what Norwegian football has that Romanian football lacks, Cuc answered: 'Mentality. Organisation. Discipline.' He also made a controversial comparison about players' tattoos, suggesting Norwegian players focus on football rather than tattoos, cars and showing off, which drew a rebuttal from the programme's moderator and former international Ionel Dănciulescu.
