Celine Dion sings at L'Oreal Paris Fashion Week show during concert residency
Celine Dion made an unannounced appearance at the L'Oreal Paris runway show on Monday, singing beneath the Eiffel Tower during her 26-concert residency in the capital.
Surprise performance beneath the Eiffel Tower
Celine Dion made an unannounced appearance on Monday evening to conclude the annual L'Oreal Paris runway show at the start of Paris Fashion Week. Emerging in a sleek black gown against the backdrop of the illuminated Eiffel Tower near Place Joffre in the 7th arrondissement, the Canadian singer performed her 2002 single "I'm Alive". The surprise performance concluded an evening where attendees and spectators had anticipated only a routine final walkthrough by the beauty brand's promotional ambassadors. After delivering the solo musical number before the audience, Dion was joined on the catwalk by the brand's ambassadors, dancing alongside them on the central podium. Paris Fashion Week, which is dedicated to showcasing women's spring and summer collections, runs through October 6.

Star-studded runway lineup
The open-air catwalk brought together a diverse roster of ambassadors from cinema, music, and international athletics. Among the figures walking the runway were actors Viola Davis, Eva Longoria, Andie MacDowell, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Simone Ashley, Kristen Bell, Cara Delevingne, Jane Fonda, and Aja Naomi King. The presentation also featured fashion models Kendall Jenner and Heidi Klum, Belgian singer Helena, US Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, and Italian Paralympic champion Beatrice Vio. Dion had previously represented the cosmetics house as an official brand ambassador in 2019. Following the opening event, Dion could potentially make front-row appearances at upcoming presentations by fashion houses such as Dior, Tom Ford, Schiaparelli, and Givenchy.
Brand growth and retail footprint
The open-air event marks the primary annual promotional showcase for L'Oreal Paris, which ranks as the largest individual brand within the parent L'Oreal group. The label is used by approximately 600 million consumers worldwide and served as the largest contributor to the group's financial growth during the first half of the year. Company leadership attributed that commercial performance to new haircare product lines that are currently growing four times faster than the broader market, as well as cosmetic items like the Infallible 3-second setting spray. Ahead of Monday's presentation, global brand president Laetitia Toupet discussed the commercial balance between premium aesthetics and mass-market reach.
While we are increasingly adopting codes to elevate the brand and make it more luxurious, we always remain close to women around the world.
