A sinus infection, not his voice
A representative confirmed to People magazine that the singer was contending with a sinus infection. That detail set fans at ease because Bon Jovi had previously undergone surgery for a damaged vocal cord. In 2022, he had vocal fold medialization after his previous tour. In 2024, he said he was uncertain he could ever tour again. By June 2025, he described his recovery in a People cover story, joking that the only thing that had ever been in his nose was his finger. The sinus infection, while unrelated to the vocal cords, was enough to force him offstage.
A night of hits and a surprise guest
Before the early exit, the show delivered classic Bon Jovi material. Train frontman Pat Monahan joined the band for the 1986 anthem "Livin' On A Prayer." The lineup featured founding drummer Tico Torres, keyboardist David Bryan, bassist Hugh McDonald, guitarists John Shanks and Phil X, and multi-instrumentalist Everett Bradley.
