The Namur prosecutor's office confirmed that a police operation was taking place in the area, stating that further information would be shared later in the day.
Investigation and family response
The location of the discovery corresponds to where the car of 29-year-old Bryan Brigou was located on 28 June 2026. Bryan Brigou and his five-year-old son, Tyméo, had been missing since late June. Relatives of the family arrived at the site following reports of the discovery. The child's grandmother stated that the deceased was a child and noted that an autopsy would take place. Authorities have not yet officially confirmed the identity of the victim.
