Above the image, White wrote "Who's the biggest LOSER in Belgium?" The post intervened directly in a national debate over alcohol advertising rules, contrasting with customary diplomatic discretion. White, who was appointed by United States President Donald Trump, regularly shares anti-migration videos and personal stories on social media.

Diplomatic summons and political reactions

Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Prévot announced on Friday, 28 August 2026, that he will summon White in the coming days to account for his statements.
