Beatriz Luengo Wins Maestros de la Costura Celebrity 2 and Donates €50,000 Prize
Singer and actress Beatriz Luengo won the second season of Spain's Maestros de la Costura Celebrity, defeating her former Un paso adelante co-star Silvia Marty and donating the €50,000 prize to flood relief.
The final runway duel
Beatriz Luengo won the crystal mannequin trophy on Wednesday night, 26 August 2026, during the season finale of Maestros de la Costura Celebrity on La 1. The 43-year-old singer and actress faced her former Un paso adelante co-star Silvia Marty in the deciding round of the RTVE competition. For the final runway, Luengo presented a long black evening gown constructed from silk crepe and guipure lace, finished with feathers, bows, and handcrafted embroidered flowers. Marty presented a fluid gown in silk satin crepe inspired by contemporary dance, incorporating chiffon godets and metal chain straps with a pearl detail. Judges Lorenzo Caprile, María Escoté, and Luis de Javier, alongside host Raquel Sánchez Silva, awarded Luengo the title.

Donation to DANA flood relief
Luengo announced immediately after her victory that she will donate the entire €50,000 prize to Oxfam Intermón to support recovery efforts for victims of the DANA storm in Valencia. During the final judging, she explained that her black gown symbolized the process of confronting personal insecurities that affected her throughout the competition. She also embroidered the message "¿Y si sí?" on the inner garment label as an encouragement for her children.
Winning Maestros de la costura in front of my children and my family has been wonderful. Really, what I want most from all this is to show them that if you set your mind to things working out, they will work out.
Guest judge María Fernández Miranda attended the runway presentation, while season one winner Pilar Rubio returned to the set to hand over the title.
Elimination stages in the finale
Four finalists entered the broadcast: Luengo, Marty, slalom canoeist Pau Echániz, and singer Mario Vaquerizo. The opening challenge in the workshop paid tribute to Valentino, where contestants replicated archival garments for guest Naty Abascal. Marty produced the top-rated design and secured the first jacket directly into the final duel. The remaining three contenders moved to Hacienda Jacaranda in Madrid to recreate bridal dresses from designers Andrés Pozuelo, Alicia Rueda, and Juan Vidal. Echániz misplaced his fabric due to competition nerves, receiving a judging penalty that left him in third place, while Vaquerizo finished in fourth position. Luengo partnered with Alicia Rueda to craft the winning wedding gown, securing the second duel spot.

Comeback path and future projects
Luengo achieved the season victory after overcoming an earlier elimination in the competition. A technical mistake during a previous gala forced her departure, but she returned to the workshop through the Golden Thimble mechanism. The finale marked a public reunion with Marty, with whom Luengo shared the screen over two decades ago playing Lola and Ingrid in the musical drama Un paso adelante. Her husband and former co-star Yotuel was present in the studio alongside their family to celebrate the win. Speaking from Miami following the broadcast, Luengo stated that she plans to release a new studio album before the end of 2026, concluding three years of recording work.
