Early goals settle the match
Barcelona beat Getafe 3-0 at the Camp Nou on Saturday, taking their unbeaten start to eight wins from eight LaLiga matches. Anthony Gordon opened the scoring inside the first two minutes, cutting in from the left and seeing his deflected effort find the net. RTE puts the goal at 78 seconds and NOS at 79 seconds. Gabriel Jesus doubled the lead in the 30th minute, scoring on his first start for Barcelona after a loss of possession by Getafe, which NOS attributes to defender Zaid Romero. Jules Kounde, who had wasted a clear chance in the first half, added the third by heading in Lamine Yamal's curling cross. Reuters and Blick place that goal in the 73rd minute, while Gelderlander gives the 83rd.

Gordon's start and Flick's verdict
Gordon joined from Newcastle United at the end of May in a deal worth 80 million euros, and had provided five assists in his first seven games before Saturday, according to the New York Times. He had not scored for the club until this match. Speaking to Barcelona media after the win, he gave his reaction to the goal.
Hopefully this will be the first of many goals.
Head coach Hansi Flick was asked about the winger after the match and praised his contribution. He said Gordon had also been doing well in the games when he did not score, and that his confidence came from his goals for England during the international break.
He gives us a lot.
Flick also addressed the return from the three-week international break, which El Periodico reports he described as a difficult restart. He said the team had come back well despite the difficulty of the trip and of facing a Getafe side that defends in a compact way.
It was not easy to come back after three weeks, and we came back well.
Title race and other results
Barcelona have 24 points, five ahead of Atletico Madrid and nine clear of Real Madrid, according to Reuters. Real Madrid beat Villarreal 1-0 at the Bernabeu, with Yan Diomande scoring their goal in the 62nd minute. Vinicius Junior was sent off for pulling the hair of Nathan Saliba, moments after appearing to score a second Real goal. NOS reports that VAR ruled that goal out, and Real held on with ten men until the final whistle. Atletico Madrid won 2-1 at ten-man Alaves, with a Cristian Romero header in the 87th minute settling the game. Real remain a point behind Atletico in the table.
The Rayo Vallecano against Athletic Club match was abandoned in the first half after Rayo fans repeatedly threw paper planes, rubber balls and other objects onto the pitch. NOS reports that the supporters are angry at the way president Raul Martin Presa runs the club. Rayo have played three home matches at Leganes this season because their own stadium needed urgent repairs over what the club described as serious safety defects.
Elsewhere in Europe, Bayern Munich conceded inside the opening nine seconds of a 2-2 draw at Augsburg. Inter Milan beat Parma 3-0, Napoli beat Frosinone 3-0 with two goals from Kevin De Bruyne, and Paris St Germain beat promoted Le Mans 3-1. Monaco, the Ligue 1 leaders, were held 2-2 by Toulouse.
What comes next
Flick said the squad is focused on the next match against Galatasaray. El Periodico quotes him saying that the team does not want to chase records but to win titles.
We do not want to break records, but to win titles.
Gelderlander reports that Frenkie de Jong has been back on the training pitch since this week but was not in the squad against Getafe. Getafe sit 13th in the table with eight points from eight matches. Real Madrid host AS Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday, according to the same report.
